TESTIMONIALS

We are thrilled to share our guests' experiences with you

My wife and I travel extensively for work and pleasure, and have done so for 24 years spanning Europe, Asia, the Middle East, Australia, South America, and of course the Americas. We are fairly particular about where we stay and the standards of service. We live in Manhattan and are avid theater lovers, and so finding the right "home" in Stratford was really important to us.

We discovered Sally's Place over a decade back, and have stayed both at their current location, and their earlier Waterloo Street location in Stratford. These are impeccably maintained, spacious, comfortable, apartment suites that allow you to "live" here while in Stratford gracefully and enjoyably, and not just "stay" here.

You have perfect privacy, yet daily housekeeping is attended to seamlessly at a convenient time, the kitchen is well appointed and well stocked, so for those who wish to make breakfast, have a quick pre-theater meal, or enjoy a light late supper, you have the ability to do so. Yet the delightful property is also easy walking distance from all the theaters, from the wonderful Stratford restaurants, from the enchantingly quaint shopping, cafes, parks and lake.

Barb, who manages the property, is a caring presence, and eager to help with any advance reservations needed, and she ensures any rare maintenance issues are promptly and expertly attended to.

The suites are very well appointed, spacious, we are always comfortable, at peace, and able to fully revel in Stratford, its theater and other delights. I can't offer a better tribute!

“We have just returned from our second stay at Sally's Place. First time: Virgnia Woolf suite; this time Ralph Waldo Emerson suite. Superb location, superb setting for a family stay to enjoy the plays at Stratford's Festival. We have stayed here with our parents, our kids and the spacious apartments did not feel crowded. With fully stocked kitchen, hearty breakfasts, impeccably clean and well-appointed amenities, Barb the manager, has built a great place to stay. Walking distance to all three theatres and downtown, wifi and internet, balconies and privacy, we could not ask for more. No need to drive unless you want to. We were able to eat in for breakfast, cook up a quick dinner before the play, laze around as we needed to, all the comforts of home and better.

Thanks again Barb and we will be back I am certain.

*Book early though, because Sally's Place has repeat customers.

There is no better home away from. The rooms are fabulously furnished, landscaping is lovely, the location is blocks away from anything that I need and of course; it's lovely Stratford, so there's so much to do.

I stay here for a few months every year and find my hosts to be particularly helpful and good fun. They are also flexible about timing of check in and check out and have the inside scoop on activities going on in town.

I would highly recommend this spot. Indeed - I wish I was there right now!

Visiting the Stratford Festival of Canada is always a treat, but the choices for places to stay are limited. There are no brand name hotels or motels, and only a couple of real hotels and a few motels. There are dozens of B&Bs of varying quality. You generally get a decent room in most of the B&Bs, but you have to appear at the appointed time in the morning to have whatever breakfast the owners decide to serve while making polite conversation with complete strangers. If you like this, fine. If you don't, Sally's is for you. At Sally's Place you get a small apartment that includes a kitchen. You eat what you want, when you want, in the privacy of your own apartment. If you want to eat other meals there you can buy your own food and prepare it in the kitchen (although there a number of good restaurants in Stratford). The apartments are clean and comfortable - truly a home away from home. And, Sally's, on Ontario St., is within easy walking distance of all 4 Festival theatres and most restaurants. We have stayed there at least half a dozen times and our car is rarely used during our stay. Sally's Place provides a combination of advantages that can't be beat in Stratford.

We called last minute to book with Sally's Place and got Barb on the phone. She had all the answers to all of my questions and then some. We were arriving late which was also not a problem. We stay in the Ralph Waldo Emerson suite. This is our home away from home. Beautifully kept and exquisite. My family feels like royalty. Thank you Barb for providing an absolute piece of heaven. You must be an angel.

Lovely, comfortable accommodations, close to theatre, restaurants and shops. We've been coming for years because the hospitality is SO special. Barb tries to think of everything to meet your needs and sometimes you even get baked treats made by Sally herself.

Once you've tried staying here, you won't want to go anywhere else.

Great location and we loved the balcony off the kitchen!!! There were lots of snacks and breakfast options provided. We were 5 sisters and found the accommodations to be perfect for us. Barb was flexible and very responsive to our messages. Would definitely recommend this place!! We were walking distance to everything that we were interested in. (The Virginia Woolf Apartment)

Sally's Place is perfectly located for theatres, dining, strolling and everything! Impeccably clean, very responsive service and lovely thoughtful touches. Loved the little patio verandah at the back of the Virginia Woolf Suite, perfect for breakfast, reading and relaxing.
